OreSat: An Open Source, Amateur Radio-based CubeSat (and Oregon’s First Satellite!)
This month’s presentation (OCT 19th at 7PM @ Sunset Church) will feature the Portland State Aerospace Society’s “OreSat” project, an open-source CubeSat system designed, built, and operated by an interdisciplinary group of students at Portland State University.
Andrew Greenberg (KD7CJT) (and most likely a bunch of students) will discuss space, how to design a satellite, their satellite, the amateur radio systems on the satellite, and the open-source satellite ground station they’re currently designing and building. They’ll also discuss how you can help out!
For more information on their project, or to get a preview of the projects they will discuss, please see https://www.pdxaerospace.org/, https://www.oresat.org/, and https://www.uniclogs.org/.
