The program for our April Meeting of OTVARC (April 21) will focus on Portable Operations.
We have three presenters for the evening:
- Russ Mickiewicz (N7QR) will present an overview of HF Portable Operations, emphasizing the technical challenges of off-the-grid power and portable antennas.
- Dave Wright (AB7DW) is the club’s coordinator of the Annual Crater Lake Special Event Station each July. He will share specifics about experiencing portable operations with experienced colleagues on the weekend of July 16 this year.
- Ron O’Connor (KD7VIK) coordinates the ARRL Field Day for OTVARC each year and will give us some of the details about operating portable at this year’s event on June 25.
A question and answer time will follow the formal presentations.
