Logbook of the World – LOTW
Logbook of the World is managed by the ARRL. This service is availble for all hams, regardless if they are members of the association. LOTW is the gold standard for awards such as DXCC and Worked All States.

Unfortunately, LOTW is the most complicated to setup and run than other services. This is built on a system of certificates. This is the offical setup guide from the ARRL. Read it CAREFULLY – DON’T SKIP ANY STEPS!

Personally I do not use TQSL directly, I use N3FJP that is connected to it. It makes the uploading more simple to use. But I will concede, the TQSL interface is quite dated and obscure.

QRZ.com – QRZ
QRZ.com is a small company started by hams in the 2000’s. They have a forum and callsign lookup database plus many other features on the website. They also have nice logbook with mapping functions. The last few years they have been rolling our more awards for hams to achieve.

eQSL.cc – eQSL
eQSL.cc is a website that started in the late ’90s and is different than the other online QSL services. eQSL takes your log file and generates a digital QSL card your contacts. First, this site allows for the use of SWL QSL cards.

Clublog.com – Clublog
Clublog is a great website that is used by many dxpeditions. It has some other usuable functions, but most seem to use it for paying for DX confirmations.

Which of these services do I use?
I personally use all of them. I find LOTW to be the most accurate count for my DXCC. I like QRZ.com for the maps and extra awards. I use eQSL for my JARL awards. I use Clublog for ordering QSL cards/confirmations from DXpeditions. I do this partially for myself and for other hams looking for confirmations of our contacts. Many hams are chasing awards, and I want to ensure that they get the credit they need for a contact that we had.
