Renewing your license using the
Universal Licensing System (ULS)
The
easiest way is to do it online. Go to http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls .
If you have not already registered with ULS, select "Register CORES/Call
Sign" and
follow the instructions. Once you are registered, select "Online Filing" and
follow the instructions. If you don't have a computer, I'm sure you
have a friend who does and can help. Try it!
To modify a license by mail do not, I repeat, DO NOT
attempt to use the FCC Form 605. Obtain a copy
of NCVEC Quick-Form 605 from http://www.arrl.org/fcc/ncvec605c.pdf. (Your friend
who has a computer can
help you with this part.) Fill in section 1 and sign it. Leave
section 2 blank.
If you are an ARRL member, you can make changes free
by mailing the form along with a photocopy of your license to:
ARRL VEC
225 Main St.
Newington CT 06111
If you are not an ARRL member, the Sunnyvale VEC will
submit license updates for a fee. Send the form with a photocopy
of your license and a check for $5.00, payable to Sunnyvale VEC, to:
Sunnyvale
VEC ARC, Inc.
PO Box 60307
Sunnyvale, CA 94088-0307
Any further questions can be directed to ws7l@arrl.net.
From Carl's desk:

program. To become a VE, write to vec@arrl.org and ask for their
Prospective VE Packet. Be sure to include your postal address.
If you want to see the VE manual, it is available at www.arrl.org/arrlvec/vemanual/index.html. |
